In Germany today is Vatertag = Father’s Day. What would be fine, if a father would be able to give it to us? Money, a house, a car, a gun? Some chromosomes for thinking, good memory, empathy, good rites of friendship? Power, not anxiety? Courage? I’m always amused by the “man on a horse”-series of Eduardo Amorim. Though myself: If a horse wasn’t calm, following my will: then I often fell down to the ground. An armchair, is what I prefer.

Not only Father’s Day but also Ascension Day, a national holiday in Germany. Why is Father’s Day on a holiday in the middle of the week while Mother’s Day is on a Sunday? Not fair!
